Each mat is made from locally sourced Kanshi Grass & Palm Leaves, that are abundantly found in the Jharkhand's wastelands and provide a sustainable raw material as well as a life skill for the local tribe. Each box has been painstakingly handmade by Sabar Tribal artisan belonging to a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group(PVTG) and takes 2 days to make for which the tribal artisans are fairly compensated. These are light-weight, sturdy and long lasting.
