Our Hand embroidered kantha dupattas are a testament to the rich heritage of Eastern India's traditional craft, known as kantha embroidery. Several of our skilled kantha artisans are refugee women who are sole bread earners of their families. They meticulously stitch intricate designs onto layers of soft, lightweight fabric, typically using a running stitch technique. Kantha embroidery often features floral motifs, geometric patterns, or narrative scenes that tell stories from folklore or everyday life. The vibrant threads and intricate stitches create a mesmerizing texture that adds depth and beauty to the dupattas. Each piece is a labor of love, taking hours or even days to complete.
