10th July 2023 was truly a day to remember for all of us at Ambalika's Avsar store, located at the Ranchi Airport, and supported by NABARD. The excitement in the air was palpable as we had the incredible honor of hosting none other than the cricket legend, MS Dhoni. The former captain of the Indian cricket team and the pride of Jharkhand, Dhoni’s visit brought an immense sense of joy and pride to all of us.

It was a privilege to welcome such an iconic figure who has not only represented India on the global stage but has also been a beacon of inspiration for millions of people across the country. Dhoni’s presence at the store was nothing short of magical, and he took the time to meet with our founder, Mrs. Suchitra Sinha, a former IAS officer and passionate social worker. The meeting also included Mr. KL Aggarwal, the Airport Director, whose unwavering support and valuable guidance have been instrumental in the success of our store.

What made the moment even more special were Dhoni’s kind words of encouragement. He acknowledged the effort Ambalika has put into promoting regional crafts and handlooms, especially in collaboration with the tribal communities of Jharkhand. His appreciation of our mission to empower local artisans and promote indigenous crafts left us deeply motivated and further reinforced our commitment to supporting these exceptional artisans.

The visit was a beautiful reminder of the power of regional pride, craftsmanship, and the collective effort to uplift our communities. We are incredibly grateful to MS Dhoni for his support and for inspiring us to continue our journey of promoting Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage.
